SENIOR CREDIT ANALYST
Introduction
Craft is recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialty finance platform in Midtown Manhattan seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to support credit decisioning and portfolio quality. This is a hands-on credit role for someone who enjoys digging into financials, making sound credit calls, and partnering closely with senior risk leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate borrower credit profiles including credit reports, background checks, and public records such as liens, judgments, bankruptcies, and UCC filings.
Analyze bank statements and financial documentation including P&L, balance sheet, accounts receivable, and tax returns to assess cash flow and credit risk.
Assess creditworthiness and recommend loan eligibility and funding amounts based on detailed analysis.
Price loans and structure repayment terms (weekly, biweekly, or monthly) using the company's pricing framework.
Prepare clear credit memos summarizing analysis, key risks, and recommendations for internal decision-making.
Engage directly with business owners and internal stakeholders to clarify financials and support informed lending decisions.
Monitor market and industry trends to identify emerging risks and lending opportunities.
Contribute to ongoing credit policy refinement and the development of new lending products.
What We're Looking For
Experience
2+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or a similar role, ideally within business financing, specialty lending, or short-term loans.
Skills
Strong financial statement analysis and cash flow assessment capability.
Working knowledge of credit reports, background/UCC review, and risk assessment tools.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to document decisions clearly.
Comfortable balancing speed and discipline in a high-volume environment.
Advanced Excel skills;Salesforce experience is a plus.
Clear communicator who can work effectively with leadership and cross-functional partners.
Interest in mentoring junior team members and taking on additional responsibility over time.
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Full-time on-site role in Midtown Manhattan
