Sr. Corporate Finance Analyst

General Purpose

Work closely with leadership to track capital spending on managed projects across the organization. Provide support for all financial and internal control aspects of capital projects by assisting with month-end close, the preparation of financial reports, and capital planning. Collaborate independently with other areas of the business such as corporate and plant accounting, project management, and project engineering. Lead cross-functional, senior leader-level quarterly CapCom meetings and quarterly project review meetings. Resolve or offer solutions to complex problems. Complete responsibilities independently, requiring minimal guidance from leadership. Act as a resource for others, providing guidance on processes and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively prepare reports for and lead monthly assigned division (e.g., Dairy Brands, Ingredient Solutions, council areas, corporate) and Capital Steering Committee (CSC) prep calls, quarterly division meetings, and Capital Steering Committee meetings
• Partner with all divisions on lease/capital questions, SharePoint site support, and quarterly CSC meeting reports preparation
• Manage the Capital Projects SharePoint site and actively think of more efficient ways to manage approvals needed before the board meeting
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes, including monitoring cash that goes out the door each month and accuracy of the forecast for strategic projects
• Collaborate with marketing and provide monthly updates on the progress of strategic projects for the marketing team to present to the CEO
• Manage CapEx file that tracks spend across all divisions by utilizing systems (e.g., SAP, FAS) and requested CIP files from locations not on these systems
• Manage KPI reporting for assigned plants
• Complete all asset transactions (additions, disposals, and transfers) for plants on our systems as well as complete a depreciation run and fixed asset reports each month
• Prepare account reconciliations for corporate accounts
• Manage overbudget report for all divisions and communicate with the plants to make sure they go back to the board for re-approval
• Prepare and/or create miscellaneous financial reports as needed, including analysis requests of lease projects, overbudget projects, emergency projects, project sizes, and others
• Assist in all fixed asset internal or external audits
• Prepare and lead engineering time allocation discussions with the engineering team along with providing requested statistical internal order reports to this team
• Create and distribute yearly depreciation reports for requested divisions during budgeting preparation
• Complete and submit annual property assessments, taxes, and government census
• Gather all lease projects information and documents to be submitted in quarterly lease draws (March, June, September, December) from all plants across the company and send to the bank
• Communicate with locations/banks to make sure all leases pass the FASB test and approve some via DocuSign
• Manage lease listing file and make sure to communicate future lease buyouts with the bank, the corporate accounting team at headquarters, and the locations associated with each buyout
• Answer/communicate with the banks/plants on any lease issues, sending lease listings, account change, disposals, and early partial buyouts
• Prepare quarterly lease obligations report for Treasury Department
