BASIC PURPOSE
The Sr Coordinator, Transportation will support the transportation and logistics functions by performing general clerical activities and managing the backhaul functions in the division. The Sr Coordinator, Transportation will work to optimize all transportation and logistics processes to create maximum efficiency.
Sunday – Thursday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
(Schedule may vary based on business needs)
Duties may include, but are not limited to, transportation, logistics, and backhaul functions.
Answer incoming calls to resolve driver, sales representative, and customer issues; communicate route updates to drivers
Utilize systems (MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, etc.) to create, update, and distribute reports supporting transportation operations
Maintain and track transportation metrics (attendance, DVIRs, backhaul spreadsheets, delivery window dispatch, trailer temp logs, route updates, etc.)
Complete damages and shorts process, including vendor/driver communication and documentation
Support training and development of junior clerical teammates
Perform other duties as assigned
Communicate key updates to support backhaul and transportation operations (arrival times, scheduling, service updates, delivery issues, etc.)
Coordinate pickup appointments for backhaul orders and vendors
Optimize routing and scheduling to minimize cost while maintaining compliance
Complete all necessary paperwork and ensure accurate communication of logistics information
Research new backhaul opportunities to improve efficiency
Perform other duties as assigned

Work is performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to warehouse conditions, including cooler/freezer areas with temperatures as low as -5°F.
Minimum three (3) years of warehouse administrative or clerical experience
Prior logistics, transportation, and/or warehouse experience required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service and telephone skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail
Intermediate computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Ability to independently solve problems of moderate scope
Strong teamwork skills
High school diploma or GED/equivalent required
Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service regulations
Familiarity with geographic delivery area
Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, XATA, Manhattan, PowerDock, Airclic
(Kept as-is but cleaned formatting for HR/ADA compliance)

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
The expected base rate for this role is between $28.00 and $30.00 per hour.
