Senior Clinical Contracts Specialist (Global Clinical Affairs)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of clinical contract management experience within a Sponsor or CRO environment
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing clinical trial contracts and vendor agreements
  • Strong understanding of clinical research operations and contract lifecycle management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Global clinical research experience
  • Clinical Operations, Study Start-Up, or CRA experience
  • Experience with vendor financial management, including purchase orders, invoicing, and budget tracking
  • Experience using contract management systems, ERP platforms, or financial tools.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Contracts Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of clinical trial and vendor contracts, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and amendments. This individual will partner closely with Clinical Operations, Legal, Finance, and external vendors to ensure timely and compliant contract execution while supporting global clinical research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), vendor contracts, MSAs, and related agreements
  • Oversee contract execution, amendments, renewals, and document management
  • Support vendor onboarding, purchase order management, invoice processing, and budget tracking
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Finance, Legal, and Procurement teams to support study execution
  • Maintain accurate contract and financial records in applicable systems
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide reporting on contract status, budgets, and vendor performance
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance contracting efficiency

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
