Sr Cash Application Specialist

Examine and analyze accounting records to determine financial status of establishment and prepare financial reports concerning operating procedures.

Tasks:

• Reconciling the company's bank statements.
• Record daily Collections from the bank account.
• Managing income bank accounts.
• Update banking feed to accounting software and code accordingly.
• Retrieve and upload explanation of benefit.
• Clean up and archive payments and process virtual credit card payments.
• Assist accounting department and payment poster with any questions they may have.
• Work Follow-up entries in GoRev in a timely manner.
• Tracking refund request and fund transfer request and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
• Investigating posting irregularities or mistakes.
• Offering advice and suggestions to Posting manager that can improve posting processes and financial stability of a company.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required, associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 year's medical payment posting experience within a healthcare environment is required.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and reimbursement procedures
• Computer Savvy!!!
