QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, production planning, or a similar role from a complex electromechanical system/equipment company
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and capacity planning
  • Manufacturing experience required; aerospace industry experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Proven negotiation and supplier management abilities
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management for all production materials
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms to hit cost and delivery targets
  • Drive supplier performance across on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness
  • Manage open purchase orders and resolve issues including delays, shortages, and quality concerns
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and supply continuity strategies

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules aligned to customer commitments and revenue priorities
  • Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans based on capacity, labor, and material constraints
  • Communicate clear build plans and priorities across the production floor

Material Planning & Inventory

  • Own material planning to ensure alignment with production schedules
  • Establish and manage inventory policies (min/max, safety stock) to prevent shortages and minimize excess
  • Execute MRP planning within ERP systems and proactively identify and mitigate supply risks
