Senior Business Development Manager (Data Centers)

The Senior Business Development Manager, Data Centers Americas, is responsible for driving profitable and sustainable sales growth of data center cooling solutions through OEM customers across the region. This role coordinates sales efforts across all company product lines to maximize opportunities in the data center market.

Location: Remote + 50% travel. 

Compensation: $215,000 total compensation. $150,000 - $170,000 base salary + 30% bonus target.  

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, 3 weeks of paid vacation, all vacation days are accrued. Tuition Reimbursement. 401(k): 6% match. Benefits begin first day of the month following hire. 

Job Description:

Drive sales revenue and market share growth in the data center segment. Identify and map key decision-makers and influencers in the ecosystem, including:

·        Hyperscalers, Data center owners and operators

·        Data Center Equipment Manufacturers

·        Cooling Solution OEM, Coolant Distribution Unit, CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioner) and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler), Rack OEM, Server OEM, etc.

·        Engineering firms, EPCs, MEP consultants/firms, general contractors

·        Crypto mining site owners and operators

·        Developers and integrators

·        Chip Manufacturers

Track and analyze technology trends and industry shifts (e.g., immersion cooling, direct-to-chip cooling) and translate their impact on product utilization and customer requirements

Collaborate closely with Application Engineering and Product Line Management teams to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities

Gather and provide critical market intelligence from customers, competitors, and the broader data center ecosystem to inform strategy and product decisions

Achieve assigned pipeline development and annual sales targets

Develop deep understanding of industry dynamics, decision-making processes, and key stakeholders involved in product specification and purchasing

Identify relevant industry standards, requirements, and qualification pathways to prioritize development, testing, demonstration, and market acceptance activities

Identify, evaluate, and size new business opportunities that may require product development or adaptation

Monitor key competitors’ performance, benchmark against our offerings, and identify growth opportunities as well as potential competitive threats

Qualifications Seeking: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline

Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience

At least 5 years in business development, account management, or direct sales roles

Proven track record of growing sales within the data center industry

Strong understanding of the industrial supply chain and key players supporting the OEM channel

Knowledge of OEM product qualification processes and requirements to accelerate industry adoption

Exceptional networking and pipeline development abilities

High level of sales passion, proactivity, and persistence

Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including experience designing and delivering effective presentations

Strong relationship-building and relationship-management capabilities across functions and organizational levels

Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail

Proficiency with CRM software

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
