MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES

As a Sr. Business Analyst IT - Sales & Commerce Applications within STAAR Surgical''''s Information Technology team, this individual plays a critical role working closely with the business and across the Information Technology organization to support, analyze, and enhance Salesforce B2B Commerce, Salesforce Sales Cloud, and Salesforce Compliance Quest platforms. In summary this position:

  • Provides hands-on technical support, analysis, and coordination across Salesforce B2B Commerce, Sales Cloud, and Compliance Quest platforms.
  • Analyzes business requirements and translates them into functional specifications, system configurations, and technical solutions.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for issue resolution, minimizing downtime and revenue impact on the B2B Commerce platform.
  • Monitors and maintains Compliance Quest workflows to ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and uninterrupted business operations.
  • Supports Sales Cloud users by managing agreement tracking, forecasting, and customer interaction tools to maximize sales productivity.
  • Operates as a liaison between technical personnel and end-user departments across Sales, Marketing, and Compliance functions.
  • Evaluates and translates end-user needs and problems to technical associates and/or vendors where appropriate.
  • Documents requirements, system configurations, and process flows; maintains up-to-date technical and functional documentation.
  • Leads and participates in testing activities including UAT, regression testing, and defect tracking for platform enhancements and releases.
  • Instructs end users on new technology and enhancements using all appropriate communication tools and provides support for existing systems.
  • Manages service providers/vendors supporting business systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Prefer undergraduate degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, or Graduate degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prefer certifications in the following areas - Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Agent Force Specialist

EXPERIENCE

  • Prefer 7+ years of relevant experience in IT business Analysis/Development
  • 5+ years of experience working with B2B Commerce Cloud/Sales Cloud applications
  • Experience using at least two application lifecycle, DevOps, or deployment tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, ANT, Change Sets, Salesforce DX, or comparable tools
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences) preferred.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities including Sales Cloud, B2B Commerce, and Compliance Quest.
  • Experience analyzing, designing, configuring, and supporting Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud implementations, including integrated apps and tools.
  • Experience developing Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, and scheduled and batch classes, as well as declarative configuration
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve platform issues with urgency to minimize business disruption.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of and ability to apply commonly used SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
  • Understands the impact of emerging business trends and their implications for STAAR Surgical and its customers.

Pay range is $135K - $165K - Final compensation will depend on experience.
