Sr. Business Analyst AWS Networking & Cloud Infrastructure

The senior business analyst will translate business needs into detailed requirements, align teams on priorities, and ensure that AWS based networking and load balancing capabilities are used to deliver secure, resilient, and high performance digital services. Prepare clear documentation, dashboards, and status reports that communicate progress on AWS networking initiatives, highlight dependencies, and provide insights to guide decision making and future improvements.

Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst – AWS Networking & Cloud Infrastructure for their Charlotte, NC location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Analyze diverse business processes and translate them into clear functional requirements that enable optimal use of AWS networking and load balancer services while improving efficiency and reliability for critical applications.
• Collaborate closely with product owners and technical architects to prioritize requirements that leverage AWS cloud infrastructure to support secure data flows, predictable application performance, and measurable business outcomes.
• Define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows that guide engineering teams in configuring AWS networking components and cloud load balancers in alignment with stakeholder expectations and compliance standards.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to evaluate existing on premise and cloud integration patterns and recommend improvements that enhance connectivity, reduce latency, and support hybrid work models without disrupting ongoing operations.
• Document current and target state architecture views from a business perspective to clarify how AWS networking topologies and routing strategies support end to end customer journeys and internal workflows.
• Assess risks related to cloud connectivity, application availability, and traffic management, and propose mitigation actions that use AWS networking features to strengthen resilience and maintain service continuity.
• Support planning and execution of testing cycles by defining business relevant scenarios that validate the behavior of cloud load balancers, network routing rules, and failover strategies under expected and peak usage conditions.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to gather feedback on proposed solutions, clarify requirements, and ensure that implemented AWS networking designs align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Prepare clear documentation, dashboards, and status reports that communicate progress on AWS networking initiatives, highlight dependencies, and provide insights to guide decision making and future improvements.
• Guide optimization of cost and performance tradeoffs by analyzing usage patterns of networking and load balancing services and recommending configuration adjustments that balance budget constraints with service quality.
• Coordinate with security and compliance teams to ensure that business requirements for data protection, access control, and auditability are fully reflected in AWS networking and load balancing designs and operational procedures.
• Advise stakeholders on the implications of hybrid work models for connectivity, remote access, and collaboration tools, and translate these needs into requirements that drive robust and secure cloud networking strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement by reviewing post implementation outcomes, identifying lessons learned from AWS networking projects, and proposing enhancements that increase customer satisfaction and organizational agility.
• This role focuses on analyzing complex business processes and designing scalable solutions on cloud networking platforms to enhance operational efficiency and stakeholder value.
