Summary

Partner in the design, planning, implementation, and delivery of benefit programs, policies, and procedures for the healthcare system. Support Nuvance Healths achievement of desired competitive position to market and supporting system goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Administers the health, disability, and life insurance plans for hospital employees, including union and non-union plans, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Maintains awareness of changing regulatory requirements.

  2. Manages the day-to-day relationship with the benefit vendors. Independently resolves issues and escalates if necessary.

  3. Prepares reports and analyses for management. Completes government reports as necessary.

  4. Provides recommendations of benefit programs to management.

  5. Analyzes current benefits trends to estimate impact on organization.

  6. Stays up to date with benefits legislation.

  7. Oversees the annual open enrollment process. Ensures files are transmitted to the vendors. Works closely with IT to ensure accurate programming of the benefits system.

  8. Works in close partnership with HRBPs to address and resolve employee questions and disputes while driving increased process transparency and operational efficiencies.

  9. Maintains and Models the Organizations values.

  10. Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

  11. Performs other duties as required.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Requires a minimum formal education of Bachelors Degree and minimum of five (5) years or more job-related experience.
  • Strong computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, heavy analytical skills.
