Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. AWS Cloud Admin / Senior Database Engineer with strong expertise in AWS database services, PostgreSQL administration, database migrations, and hybrid cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, managing, and optimizing resilient, scalable, and secure enterprise database platforms across on-premises, AWS cloud, and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, administer, and optimize enterprise database platforms on AWS.

• Manage and support AWS Aurora, Amazon RDS, and PostgreSQL environments.

• Work with AWS database technologies including DynamoDB, Redis/MemoryDB, MySQL, and Snowflake.

• Ensure database reliability, performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

• Plan and execute homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Support hybrid and multi-cloud database architectures.

• Automate database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and operational tasks.

• Troubleshoot complex database performance and availability issues.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using SQL, PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting.

• Support modern cloud-native database design and optimization initiatives.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and cloud engineering teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database technologies

• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud databases

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • AWS Aurora

  • Amazon RDS

  • PostgreSQL Administration

  • DynamoDB

  • Redis / MemoryDB

  • MySQL

  • Snowflake

• Strong experience with on-premises databases and hybrid cloud architectures

• Proven expertise in database migrations, including homogeneous and heterogeneous migrations

• Strong SQL skills

• Experience with PowerShell and Unix shell scripting

• Experience with database automation and performance optimization

• Strong understanding of cloud-native database architecture

• Knowledge of Python and JSON is a plus

• AWS Certifications preferred
