Sr Attorney

Position: Senior Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Attorney to join our legal team in Chicago. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, and litigation. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and support to the company on a variety of matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and litigation

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including joint venture agreements, service agreements, and other commercial contracts

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in all aspects of the company's operations

- Conduct legal research and provide analysis and recommendations on legal issues affecting the company

- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including arbitration and litigation

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including government agencies, legal counsel, and other industry professionals

- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and provide guidance on compliance and risk management

- Manage outside counsel and legal budget effectively

- Train and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff as needed

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

- Active license to practice law in Illinois

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney

- Strong knowledge of contract law, regulatory compliance, and litigation

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Proven track record of providing sound legal advice and managing complex legal matters

- Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets

- Strong leadership and mentoring skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
