SR API Engineer

The Open Banking Channel is responsible for vendor and Fintech API integrations, both for inbound and outbound integrations to help clients complete their 360-degree views of their banking data. We are building a team to develop target state architectures that enable business and product strategies across Consumer, Wealth, Private and Retirements lines of business.

The position as an Open Banking Channel Software Engineer is responsible for leading development of API services and UI components. The channel provides the ability to interact with third party products and services to both provide and consume user-consented data sharing.
The Open Banking Channel is responsible for vendor and Fintech API integrations, both for inbound and outbound integrations to help clients complete their 360-degree views of their banking data. Open Banking is one of our fastest growing channels and we enable thousands of FinTechs that provide alternate banking experiences to our customers. This team builds industry standard based API solutions that enable cutting edge capabilities by facilitating customer-permissioned data sharing. We are building a team to develop target state architectures that enable business and product strategies across Consumer, Wealth, Private and Retirements lines of business. This platform supports millions of customers and stability, resiliency, and scalability are critical factors in our work.

Required Qualifications
A Software Engineer will assume duties including but not limited to:
Strong strategic thinker and the proven ability to execute.
Superior communication and relationship management skills.
Strong technical SME with understanding of API's, OAuth 2 authorization framework, gateway technologies, monitoring, and capacity management concepts.
Ability to interface with both development and infrastructure teams to support overall channel resiliency for end-to-end transaction flows.
Understanding of API's and data exchange principles.
Understanding of Financial Industry standards such as Open Financial Exchange (OFX), Durable Daa API (DDA) and/or Financial Data Exchange (FDX).
Familiar with RESTful patterns and OAuth 2 authorization framework.
Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
Familiar w/Splunk & AppDynamics.
