Description

Duties:
Complete supportive administrative and lead activities. Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements. Integrate them into business processes to address business needs.

40% Complete administrative and lead activities to support management such as attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports, resource planning, preparing documentation and developing processes.

40% Manage projects to ensure the coordination, documentation, reporting and customer communication requirements are being supported. Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff.

20% Perform quality checks across various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed. Define and analyze quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve operational workflows.

Skills:
Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent project planning, organization, and management skills. Strong analysis skills. Thorough understanding of data processing terminology, operations, and architecture utilized in debugging application/environmental problems. Skilled in negotiation and/or influencing business or technical partners. Ability to write complex test cases/scripts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write complex test cases/scripts. Ability to document complex problems and assist in their resolution. Ability to understand functional connections between applications. Ability to utilize test requirements, specifications, diagrams, logic functions, etc.

Required Software and Other Tools: Standard office equipment.

Preferred Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of JAVA, Websphere, Windows, and other middleware platforms. Knowledge of DB2, Oracle, IMS, and VSAM. Strong analysis skills. Skill in whitebox testing, integration testing, static testing, and 508 compliance testing utilizing JAWS software.

Work Environment: Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.

The Team: TPA Cloud Migration - This is an exciting new opportunity at TPA. The new team will be dedicated to migrating application to the CMS AWS Cloud. This structure leverages a wide range of skills and expertise, enabling the team to operate across different functions and projects while working from various locations. It's a flexible and dynamic approach to team organization that supports agility and innovation in a global business environment.

Required:
•Agile Testing and CI/CD Experience
•Cloud hosted application(s) testing experience
•Identify, track, and manage bugs using TestRail, JIRA/Confluence, or ALM.
•Testing Tools (e.g., Selenium Grid, JUnit, TestNG, Apache JMeter, SoapUI, and Postman).
•Strong knowledge of lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or cloud migration testing.
•Design, Develop and execute test strategies, test cases, and automated scripts for cloud-native, containerized, and legacy applications migrated to AWS cloud.
•Lead functional, regression, integration, system, failover, and performance testing across multi-tier AWS Cloud environments.
•Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP API testing, SQL, and test automation frameworks.
•Solid understanding of test data stragegy, version control, defect triage, and test metrics reporting.
•Implement automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, AWS CodePipeline)
•AWS Services – EC2, IAM, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CodeBuild
•Security and compliance testing (HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST-800)
•508 / WCAG compliance testing (Burp Suite/OWASP ZAP, WAVE)
•Medicare Experience

Day To Day:
A typical day for a Cloud Senior Test Analyst on the TPA team involves planning and executing test cases for the TPA portal within the CMS Cloud (built on AWS ). The analyst uses TestRail to manage test plans, track execution, and document results, while JIRA is used to log defects and align testing tasks with Agile sprints. They collaborate with developers and business analysts in daily stand-ups, using Confluence to maintain test documentation, user stories, and release notes. The role also includes validating application behavior in cloud environments, supporting compliance testing, and ensuring that all updates meet CMS security and performance standards before deployment. In addition, they complete supportive administrative and lead activities related to cloud testing and collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and continuous improvement. Their work is essential to maintaining the quality, reliability, and compliance of cloud-based healthcare applications.
