Job Description

Interchange is central to Visa's business, and the Global Interchange Compliance team collaborates with the broader organization and provides compliance expertise. The Senior Analyst, Global Interchange Compliance role will support interchange strategy by ensuring proper levels of interchange are paid and received by our clients. This role will also ensure Visa systems are working as intended. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an analytical background, and experience navigating complex business projects.

Essential functions:

  • Support Visa Inc.'s interchange compliance globally and across functional areas
  • Identify anomalies in the payments process that may result in financial impact to clients/Visa
  • Develop and maintain KPIs/dashboards to support data-driven decision making
  • Perform full cycle incident management for client processing errors
  • Maintain detailed documentation regarding error resolution and compliance reviews
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Visa's interchange programs to ensure monitoring processes are effective and in line with industry and client trends

This is a hybrid position based in the Bay Area, CA. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 60% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 3 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Finance or related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in one of the following areas: Payments, Data Science, Software Development, Pricing Strategy
  • Experience extracting and manipulating large data sets with SQL and/or other programming languages
  • Experiencing using Command Line Prompts, including Bash, to automate tasks
  • Experience doing quantitative analysis of large datasets
  • Experience building dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience creating data processing automations, use of version control tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.), software development cycle
  • Familiar with orchestration tools including Airflow
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Natural collaborator, with excellent communication skills
  • Payments industry knowledge

The estimated salary range for this position is $129,200.00 to $ 206,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
