    This opportunity is with a major natural gas utility that purchases, transports, and distributes natural gas to more than two million customers across Arizona, California, and Nevada. The Senior Analyst/GIS Staff professional will support engineering applications and geographic information systems used across utility operations. The role will provide technical guidance, system support, data management, application integration, and business consulting to GIS operations and other functional teams.

    Key technologies include ArcGIS, ArcFM, ArcGIS Portal, AutoCAD, GPS, FieldSmart View, PaperVision Enterprise, Capture, and Global Mapper. The position requires innovative thinking, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with divisions, engineering groups, information services, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.Position OverviewFusion HCR is seeking a Senior Analyst/GIS Staff professional to support the design, administration, integration, and continuous improvement of GIS and engineering applications within a major natural gas utility. The position will provide technical and business support for operational groups and company projects, ensuring the integrity, reliability, and availability of GIS data and systems. Responsibilities include geospatial database administration, application configuration, system upgrades, user support, training, problem resolution, change management, and compliance reporting. The role will also serve as a subject matter expert for key GIS, engineering, mapping, GPS, and document-management applications while acting as a liaison between divisional GIS operations and Information Services.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide technical support to GIS operations, engineering teams, system users, contractors, and projects.
    • Analyze complex cross-functional issues, determine root causes, recommend solutions, and coordinate resolution.
    • Design, model, implement, and maintain geospatial databases, including relationships, indexes, roles, permissions, and versioning.
    • Administer ArcSDE and Oracle database environments and establish geodatabase maintenance routines.
    • Configure GIS web servers and portals; publish and maintain web map services.
    • Develop spatial queries, analyses, map products, and data updates using Python, SQL, and PL/SQL.
    • Coordinate software upgrades, user acceptance testing, change control, system recovery, tuning, and performance reporting.
    • Maintain ArcFM, ArcGIS, MAOP Uptime, FieldSmart View, AutoCAD, GPS, and PaperVision configurations and user support.
    • Develop training materials, conduct user training, and coach stakeholders on geodatabase design and application usage.
    • Facilitate GIS integration with other company applications and maintain internal and external datasets.
    • Maintain compliance-driven procedures and regulatory reporting scripts, including NPMS and annual DOT reports.
    • Manage user accounts, controls, privileges, audits, vendor coordination, and operational documentation.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Degree in GIS or a related field from an accredited university, plus at least four years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Knowledge of computer and network concepts, information technology practices, and business systems supporting company policies and initiatives.
    • Experience supporting GIS applications, users, data, processes, and operational workflows.
    • Working knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcFM, ArcGIS Portal, geospatial databases, and ArcSDE administration.
    • Working knowledge of Oracle relational database management system environments.
    • Experience with spatial queries and analysis using Python scripting, advanced SQL queries, and/or PL/SQL.
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD, GPS software and hardware, FieldSmart View, and PaperVision Enterprise and Capture is required for the associated support responsibilities.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to develop recommendations, document configurations and procedures, and provide training to varied stakeholder groups.
    • Ability to work extended days and weekends when required for production changes, project needs, and testing.
    • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential condition of employment.
