Our compensation program team is at the intersection of analytics, data engineering, data science, and People (HR, Recruiting, People Ops) is looking for a talented Analyst who is equally passionate about this mission.

What You'll Do

  • Perform rigorous analyses on large, complex data sets and provide strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions based upon findings to leaders at all levels\u202f
  • Work with business and engineering teams to drive the development of Tesla's data, reporting, and analytics platforms\u202f
  • Build, maintain, and improve data models, forecast models, dashboards, and data pipelines\u202f
  • Create clean, reliable, and scalable "single-source-of-truth" data sets by partnering with data quality and application engineering teams to address data issues in upstream systems and document data lineage, business logic, and KPI definitions\u202f
  • Partner with compensation partners and business analysts to help automate manual workflows and train them in tools and skills to become self-sufficient as needed\u202f

What You'll Bring

  • 3+\u202fyears of relevant work experience\u202fwith preferably a BS/MS in STEM or quantitative field (CS, Statistics, Operations Research) and/or BS/MS/MBA in Business/People related field or equivalent experience \u202f
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and GoLang - experience with commercial and emerging BI databases, technologies, and languages\u202f
  • Experience with data analytics tools and languages and advanced Excel BI functionality and languages (Power Query (M), PowerPivot (DAX))\u202f
  • Experience with data visualization/dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity\u202f
  • Excellent problem-framing, problem solving and project management skills and ability to change direction quickly\u202f
  • Experience in building, deploying and maintaining data pipelines using\u202fopen source\u202ftools like Python, Airflow\u202fand Spark
