Senior Analyst, Asset Management
Location: Plano, TX
Pay Rate: $75/hour, DOE
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Asset Management, to support fixed asset accounting and reporting functions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring GAAP compliance, and supporting the full asset lifecycle from acquisition through disposal. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fixed asset accounting processes, policies, and controls
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register
- Support quarterly and annual asset verification activities
- Record asset additions, transfers, and disposals
- Perform depreciation calculations and asset valuations
- Analyze fixed asset reports and financial statements
- Prepare management reporting and variance analysis
- Support capital budgeting and forecasting activities
- Partner with cross-functional teams on capital planning initiatives
- Coordinate asset tagging and tracking with IT and operations
- Support internal and external audits
- Investigate and resolve asset discrepancies
- Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls
- Maintain documentation for policies and procedures
- Manage lease accounting and leased asset records
Qualifications (Must-Have)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft
- At least 1 year of fixed asset or lease accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP
- Exposure to the automotive industry
- CPA designation
