Sr. AI Security Analyst
Summary
We are seeking a Sr. AI Security Analyst to help build and manage security practices for the company's use of artificial intelligence. This role will focus on securing AI tools, applications, and integrations including Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and other enterprise AI platforms. The Sr. AI Security Analyst will work with Security, IT, Development, and business teams to identify AI-related risks, establish security controls, and support the safe adoption of AI across the organization. All projects in this role involve AI technologies or AI-enabled solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security standards, controls, and best practices for enterprise AI use.
- Assess security risks related to AI tools, applications, agents, integrations, and data access.
- Support the secure use of Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and other enterprise AI platforms.
- Review new AI projects and technologies for security, privacy, data protection, and access risks.
- Define security requirements for AI applications throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Monitor AI environments for security threats, misuse, vulnerabilities, and unusual activity.
- Recommend and implement controls to protect sensitive company and customer data used by AI systems.
- Partner with technical and business teams to establish secure AI governance and usage practices.
- Evaluate new AI security tools, capabilities, and emerging technologies.
- Research emerging AI threats, vulnerabilities, attack methods, and security best practices.
- Develop security documentation, procedures, reporting, and metrics for AI initiatives.
- Provide security guidance and education to teams building or using AI solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or security engineering.
- Experience developing or implementing security controls, standards, and best practices.
- Solid understanding of identity and access management, data security, cloud security, and application security.
- Experience assessing security risks for new applications, platforms, or technologies.
- Solid understanding of generative AI, large language models, AI agents, or enterprise AI platforms.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, governance standards, and risk management practices.
- Knowledge of AI security risks such as sensitive data exposure, prompt injection, excessive permissions, insecure integrations, and third-party AI risk.
- Ability to explain AI security risks and requirements to both technical and business teams.
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar generative AI tools.
- Experience with Microsoft security technologies such as Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, or Purview.
- Security or AI-related certifications.
This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with our Lenexa, KS client.
