PingWind is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Sr. AI Database Developer with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join the PingWind team supporting Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning strategy in Rockville, MD. As a Sr. AI Database Developer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of AHRQ applications and products. Your responsibilities will include developing database code, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software to our stakeholders and users.

Responsibilities

•    Design, develop, and maintain databases and database codeWrite and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
•    Ensure database performance, security, and data integrityDevelop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data migration and integration
•    Implement the AHRQ Artificial Intelligence strategyWork closely with software developers and analysts to support application database needs
•    Troubleshoot database issues and optimize performance using indexing and query tuningImplement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
•    Monitor database health, resource utilization, and optimize database configurationsStay updated with emerging database technologies and best practices
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality software releases

  Required Qualifications

  Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
•    10 years of relevant experience Artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering
•    Generative AI and large language modelsAI solution architecture and systems engineering
•    AI/ML prototyping, testing, evaluation, performance assessment, and monitoringIntegration and deployment of AI/ML capabilities within approved cloud, application, and infrastructure environments
•    Responsible AI, information security, privacy, documentation, and technical risk management

  Preferred Qualifications

  Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems 
•    Experience with database development tools like PL/SQL DeveloperExperience applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
•    Familiarity with cloud database servicesExperience with data warehousing and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
•    Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
•    CSM or Agile experience preferredAbility to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines
•    Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software

  Salary Range

  $97k-$135K
