Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Builds, debugs, refines, and maintains steady state and transient thermal models using NPSS.

• Develops NPSS customer models for gas turbine engine performance.

• Performs requirements analysis and requirements decomposition.

• Provides test coverage and data reduction to support engine development and qualification.

• Connects NPSS models to MBSE tools such as Cameo.

• Applies gas turbine engine steady state and transient thermodynamics and physics.

• Performs thermodynamic modeling and analysis as a Performance or Operability Engineer.

• Works in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.

• Transfers NPSS modeling techniques through mentoring and knowledge transfer.

• Supports engine definition through all phases of the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering.

• 4 years of experience with turbine engine Performance and Operability Modeling and Analysis.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Skilled and experienced with building, debugging, and refining NPSS engine cycle models.

• Experience connecting NPSS models to MBSE tools such as Cameo.

• Experience with steady state and transient thermodynamic cycles.

• Experience with requirements analysis and requirements decomposition.

• Experience with test coverage and data reduction for engine development and qualification.

• Productive mentoring skills for NPSS modeling knowledge transfer.
