    Honeywell Aerospace has embarked on a Digital Engineering Transformation to develop and deploy digital engineering capabilities and tools, to accelerate innovation and maximize product quality. This fundamental shift in how we design, develop and deliver products is positioning Honeywell Aerospace to meet the customer needs of the future.

    At the forefront of this transformation, is Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). The Control Systems (CS) Air and Thermal Systems (A&TS) organization is seeking a Senior Advanced MBSE Engineer to join their team.

    As a Sr. Advanced Model Based Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in driving adoption of MBSE processes and tools on a variety of aircraft, including Air Transport, Regional, Business, Urban Air Mobility, and Military aircraft.

    You will report directly to Sr. Systems Engineer Manager for the Controls Systems Integration group, and you will work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • 5+ years of Aerospace systems, control development or hardware / software experience.
    • Strong knowledge of MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rhapsody, etc.) and methodologies (e.g., SysML).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and requirements.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience in training and mentoring team members on MBSE principles and tools.
    • Ability to learn quickly and work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

    WE VALUE

    • Certifications in MBSE or related fields (e.g.,INCOSE)
    • Experience in systems engineering, particularly in model-based approaches.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools of integrated systems (mechanical, electrical, and software).
    • Experience with requirement management tools, such as IBM DOORS/ELM.

    Experience with Matlab Simulink

    • Technical excellence and leadership. Proven track record of ability to produce robust technical solutions and achieve milestones on time and within budget.
    • Systems engineering technical process knowledge (requirements validation and decomposition, ARP4754A or equivalent).
    • Knowledge of Aerospace standards for Environmental Test (DO-160), Software Development (DO-178C), and Electronic Hardware Development (DO-254).
    • Technical experience in control system design, including closed-loop control and logic definition.
    • Experience with air and thermal systems, including pressure and flow management, heat transfer, and vapor cycle system.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in A&TS to adopt Honeywell Aerospace MBSE processes and best practices.
    • Provide technical guidance, training and support to A&TS group for the use of Cameo and other MBSE tools.
    • Develop and enable Digital Thread integrations use cases to for A&TS group, between Cameo and other key Digital Engineering Tools (DOORS NG, Teamcenter).
    • Lead A&TS MBSE pilot projects and proposal responses
