Responsibilities for this Position

Sign-on bonus and relocation available.

Provide frontline technical support for mission-critical system, communications, and antenna equipment across the program. In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair complex hardware, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and use your knowledge of RF, SATCOM, and processing systems to restore and sustain operational capability. Using available system-configuration documentation, installation guides, and operating procedures, you will plan and execute maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidance, customer priorities, and operational schedules; provide remote support when effective; and coordinate on-site response for emergency repairs and other field needs. You will capture lessons learned and update system documentation and support procedures to improve future technical-support activities. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, hands-on problem solver who works effectively with customers and cross-functional technical teams.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

Installs and repairs equipment; instructs customers in equipment operation; provides technical assistance; checks equipment for malfunctions. Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

Plans, directs and monitors activities performed on one or more field service projects

Provides technical leadership for field activities associated with installing, maintaining, integrating, troubleshooting, testing and servicing of multiple fielded systems/products at customer sites

Provides technical leadership for diagnoses and repair of mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures.

Serves as the subject matter expert working with the tactical customer to accomplish initial complex installation, configuration and reconfiguration of all equipment as the communications environment evolves

Develop and/or review test plans and procedures in accordance with contract requirements for the verification of deliverable system

Works with customer leadership on the planning and implementation of system customization to meeting specific mission requirements

Identifies, assesses and develops plans to attain new and ongoing business opportunities

Develops and presents cost and technical proposals to management and customer personnel

Reviews and controls usage of project funds

Represents the company at program and customer reviews

Interviews job applicants, makes hiring decisions, and recommends salaries commensurate with qualifications

Prepares cost, technical and resources utilization budgets and reports for management review

Develops and conducts training plans for the work force in order to remain competitive

Participates in strategy and planning meetings at the division level

Leads process improvement activities

Actively participates in the business development process

Internal: Other Functional Technical Teams, Technical Staff, Executive Management

External: Customers, Military Personnel, Government Dignitaries, External Consultants/Experts

Manages functional area through department managers

Recognized internally and externally as an expert in their field

May be required to deploy and operate with US Forces in CONUS and OCONUS field locations, to include combat zones

Travel may be required to world-wide non-field locations

Security Clearance may be required

Advanced Security Clearance, up to TS-SCI with Poly, may be required

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives. Represents organization as prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Intermediate knowledge of test and diagnostic equipment

Excellent knowledge of basic tool safety

Strong knowledge of system configuration and tactical employment

Strong understanding of technologies associated with supported systems

Demonstrated ability to act as a system technical advisor to all levels of customer leadership

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions, both written and oral

Highly proficient in of MS Office Suite

Strong leadership skills

Ability to gain customer intimacy and determine the customer's value proposition

Knowledge of DoD Unit Set Fielding requirements

Ability to Lead, Mentor and motivate experience technical staff

Ability to bridge communication across multifunctional teams

Effectively communicate with managers and teammates

Skilled at executing complex projects

Workplace Options:

This role will require travel of up to 30% based business needs

Combined Salary Range

USD $125,042.00 - USD $135,299.00 /Yr.
