JOB TITLE: Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer
LOCATION:Phoenix, AZ
PAY RATE: $77.05-82.44/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Architects, develops, and tests PLC programs for new and existing equipment using best practices and guidelines.

  • Provides technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.

  • Defines controls system requirements and develops detailed functional specifications.

  • Maintains and modifies existing LabVIEW systems to meet evolving customer needs.

  • Leads implementation and testing of new systems including troubleshooting of code, electrical, and mechanical issues.

  • Performs PLC programming with multiple hardware platforms including Emerson, Allen-Bradley, and Phoenix Contact.

  • Writes code using an object-oriented approach utilizing function blocks or add-on instructions.

  • Architects and writes code from scratch for control systems.

  • Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical control systems.

  • Uses LabVIEW, VeriStand, Python, and .NET for control system development and testing.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • 6+ years of PLC programming experience with multiple hardware platforms including Emerson, Allen-Bradley, and Phoenix Contact.

  • Must demonstrate ability to write code using an object-oriented approach utilizing function blocks or add-on instructions.

  • Must have experience architecting and writing code from scratch.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical control systems.

  • 6+ years of experience with LabVIEW, VeriStand, Python, and .NET.

  • Proven ability to work with minimal direction in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Knowledge of software configuration tools such as Git or TeamCenter.

  • Experience using SQL to structure and query databases.
