Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Corporate Tax team in Tempe, Arizona. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of tax disciplines, including ASC 740 tax accounting, U.S. and international tax compliance, Global Pillar Two (GloBE) reporting, SEC reporting, tax planning, and strategic business initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the Company's worldwide income tax provision, related financial reporting disclosures, U.S. international tax compliance, global minimum tax reporting, tax controversy support, tax technology initiatives, and planning projects. This role provides meaningful exposure to complex international tax matters and regular collaboration with finance, accounting, legal, operations, and external advisors across the organization.

This is an opportunity for a motivated tax professional to grow within a global public-company tax function while expanding technical expertise and contributing to complex reporting, compliance, technology, planning, process improvement, and automation initiatives that support Amkor's worldwide business and drive continuous improvement across the global tax organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provision workpapers, including supporting schedules, reconciliations, and related analysis.
• Support SEC tax footnote and income tax disclosure preparation, including documentation for financial reporting and audit review.
• Maintain tax provision software, reporting tools, and related processes to support accurate and timely tax reporting.
• Operate Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 tax controls and support related testing, documentation, and remediation activities.
• Prepare and review U.S. international tax calculations and compliance workpapers, including Subpart F, GILTI/NCTI, foreign tax credits, and Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, 4626, 8975, 8990, 8991, 8992, and 8993.
• Support Global Pillar Two (GloBE) compliance, calculations, data collection, and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Research, review, and analyze proposed and existing tax laws, regulations, and rulings to assess potential impact on the Company.
• Participate in tax technology, automation, and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of corporate income tax experience, including tax provision, compliance, and international tax matters.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing ASC 740 income tax provisions.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing U.S. Tax Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, 4626, 8975, 8990, 8991, 8992, and 8993.
• Experience reconciling tax account balances, including tax expense, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and income taxes payable.
• Experience with tax research software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and sound business judgment.
• Superior attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with finance, accounting, legal, and external advisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Big Four public accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience with data analytics, automation tools, Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, tax technology platforms, or similar solutions is a plus.
• CPA or CPA candidate desired.

Location:

Tempe, AZ. This position has a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside near the local Amkor office or be willing to relocate to be considered.
