About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support a growing life insurance and annuities company with journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of public accounting experience, strong accounting skills, and Blue Book reporting experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares journal entries, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
- Handles accounts payable and vendor payments.
- Reviews and posts daily cash transactions.
- Performs bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Records payroll and allocate expenses.
- Supports GAAP financial consolidation and reporting.
- Prepares 1099s and support insurance statutory reporting.
NOTE: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be considered for this position.

Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of public accounting experience at a national or regional firm.
- Strong journal entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting skills.
- Experience with Blue Book/statutory financial reporting.
- Previous Senior Accountant title preferred.
- CPA and life insurance/annuity experience preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
