    The Opportunity
    At Alera Group, our Employee Benefits team helps organizations attract, retain, and support their employees through innovative benefits solutions. As a Sr. Account Manager - WA, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional client service, building trusted relationships, and helping clients navigate the complexities of employee benefits.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as the primary advisor for assigned employee benefits clients, including large and complex accounts
    • Lead client service delivery, renewal strategy execution, open enrollment planning, and ongoing account management
    • Analyze employee benefits programs, funding arrangements, claims experience, and market alternatives to develop strategic recommendations
    • Manage carrier and vendor relationships, including negotiations, renewals, and issue resolution
    • Prepare and deliver client presentations, renewal communications, and strategic recommendations
    • Collaborate with producers, client executives, compliance, analytics, and other subject matter experts to execute client strategies
    • Provide guidance, quality review, and informal mentorship to Client Managers and other service team members
    • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, support retention efforts, and expand services where appropriate

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Qualifications
    • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, client service, account management, benefits consulting, brokerage operations, or a related field
    • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and relationship-building skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service
    • Demonstrated experience managing complex employee benefits accounts and renewal strategies
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
    • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
    • Experience analyzing benefit plans, funding arrangements, and market alternatives to develop strategic recommendations
    Licensure:
    • Active Life & Health Insurance License
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience working in an independent insurance agency, brokerage, or consulting environment
    • Experience with Applied Epic or other Agency Management Systems
    • Professional designations such as CEBS, GBA, RHU, REBC, or similar
    • Experience supporting middle market, large market, or enterprise employee benefits clients
    • Experience mentoring or providing guidance to Client Managers or other service team members
    Compensation
    • Salary Range: $85,000-$120,000 annually
