    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Duration: 6 - 12 Months Contract

    • We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA (Database Administrator) to manage, maintain, monitor, and optimize enterprise database environments.
    • The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SQL Server administration, database performance tuning, backup andrecovery, security management, and high-availability solutions.
    • This role requires collaboration with application teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure database systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, configure, administer, and maintain SQL Server database environments.
    • Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
    • Perform database tuning, query optimization, indexing, and performance troubleshooting.
    • Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
    • Manage database security, permissions, encryption, and access controls.
    • Perform database patching, upgrades, and migration activities.
    • Support production, development, QA, and staging database environments.
    • Troubleshoot database issues, failures, blocking, deadlocks, and replication problems.
    • Configure and maintain Always on Availability Groups, clustering, replication, and failover solutions.
    • Develop and maintain database maintenance plans, scripts, and automation processes.
    • Collaborate with developers and application teams on database design and optimization.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
    • Ensure database compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
    • Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA or Database Administrator.
    • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration.

    Experience with:

    SQL Server 2012/2016/2019/2022

    • Always On Availability Groups
    • Database Security
    • Strong knowledge of T-SQL scripting and stored procedures.
    • Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
    • Knowledge of Windows Server environments.
    • Experience with database migration and upgrade projects.
    • Familiarity with cloud database technologies such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
