    SQL/BI Data Developer/Analyst (Need onsite from Day 1)

    Location: Austin, TX / Scottsdale, AZ

    Client: PayPal

    JD:

    • Must have understanding of data processing and data warehousing concepts. Experience with gathering requirements for BI/Data warehouse project is must
    • Experience with ETL/BI tools is must
    • Experience in Data Analysis, Data profiling, Data Validation using complex SQL queries on top of RDBMS/Hadoop- HiveQL, SparkSQL / GCP Big Query etc. for validation of ETL data pipelines
    • Performing Fit GAP assessments of current/future state data platforms and creating an appropriate transition path/roadmap
    • Ability to understand code developed using python, pyspark etc
    • Preferred/Basic understanding of Payments/Finance/Accounting Industry Background
    • Understanding of Apache Spark/Hadoop ecosystem and the Data Analytics ecosystem
    • Should be a fast learner and must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
    • Experience or understanding of designing data pipelines, data models in a cloud environment like GCP BigQuery or any other Cloud is a plus
    • Creating source to target mapping documents, data flow diagrams, data models to document data pipelines
    • Experience with databases, systems integration, application development and reporting
    • Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
    • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks
    • Maintain, track, and collaborate with dev teams to ensure project estimation for delivery
    • Highlight the bugs and blockers and coordinate with the development and operations team to come up with the best solutions/fixes and document them
    • Work across internal team in various geo-locations across the world
    • Weekly and Monthly status reporting to leadership
    • Having GCP certification or Cloud experience is a plus
    • Having scripting & coding experience is a plus

    • 10+ years of experience with back-office systems and data
    • Ability to analyse complex business problems and recommend technical and non-technical solutions
    • A thorough understanding of back-office and middle office data (trades, corporate actions, holdings, etc.) and the underlying systems and business processes used to create the data. Then how that information is used across a financial organisation in both systems and business processes
    • Ability to assess new/changed data's impact to downstream users of that data
    • Financial industry/Capital Market experience is important
    • Strong SQL development skills
    • Thorough understanding of conceptual and logical data models for complex data centric projects, applications, and data management platforms
    • Experience with integration requirements related to company acquisitions and complex product launches
    • Outstanding analytical, innovation, and problem-solving skills
