Seeking an experienced Foundry Process & Quality Engineer with expertise in sand casting/iron casting, process improvement, and problem-solving. The role involves driving quality improvements, reducing casting defects, improving production yield, conducting process audits, and supporting foundry operations through data-driven root cause analysis.
- Strong knowledge of foundry operations, preferably Sand Casting and Iron Casting.
- Experience in process audits, quality improvement, and manufacturing problem-solving.
- Expertise in Lean Six Sigma, 8D, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production and yield data.
- Proficiency in engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Spanish.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.

- Work visa and frequent travel requirement to Canada and USA.
- Resolve casting defects such as porosity, core shift, NCU, and over-grinding issues.
- Conduct process audits and ensure adherence to foundry control plans and standards.
- Analyze production, yield, and scrap trends to drive corrective actions.
- Lead problem-solving activities using 8D, DOE, RCA, and Pareto analysis.
- Collaborate with machining and foundry teams to address downstream quality concerns.
- Interpret complex casting/machining drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives for process optimization and productivity improvement.
- Support production ramp-up and stabilization of complex cast components.
