SQA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software products.
• Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs and ensure software functionality meets specifications.
• Collaborate with software developers and product teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential quality issues.
• Track, report, and manage defects using issue tracking tools and follow through on resolution.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to testability improvements across the development lifecycle.
• Maintain automation scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
• Continuously analyze and improve testing processes, methodologies, and quality standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an SQA Engineer or similar role in the software industry.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or equivalent.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA or TestRail.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
