Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Spring Set-Up Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Farmington, CT. This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, troubleshooting, and operating spring coiling and secondary machinery to produce precision components that meet stringent quality standards.

Successful candidates will possess hands-on experience setting up and troubleshooting spring coiling equipment, maintaining tight quality standards, reading blueprints, and optimizing machine performance. Essential Functions
- Set up, adjust, and operate spring coiling and secondary manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure efficient operation of departmental machinery and production equipment.
- Perform machine adjustments and minor repairs to maintain production uptime.
- Remove existing tooling and install replacement tooling as required.
- Monitor machine performance and production efficiency throughout each shift.
- Support on-time delivery requirements and production schedules.
- Maintain production run rates and maximize equipment uptime.
- Support quality initiatives by minimizing scrap, rework, and customer returns.
- Follow all company safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate recommendations.
- Assist with training and mentoring operators when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned while maintaining dependable attendance.
Job Specifications
- High School Diploma, Trade School Certification, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of spring manufacturing setup experience required.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting spring coiling and secondary equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Experience utilizing gauges, measuring instruments, and inspection equipment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting production goals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment supporting spring coiling and secondary operations.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and moving throughout the shift.
- Must be able to read work instructions, specifications, blueprints, and production documentation.
- Requires manual dexterity for precision manufacturing and machine setup activities.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials, tooling, and production components.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Must comply with all safety protocols and wear required PPE while on the production floor.
