Description

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
- The Spray Technician operates spray trucks and Ultra Low Volume (ULV) equipment in compliance with federal, state, and County regulations to treat assigned areas.
- Responsibilities include working with various pesticides, maintaining operational records, updating spray maps, and assisting with equipment and truck refurbishment during non-mosquito season.
- Additional duties include supporting mosquito field activities and maintaining a clean, safe vehicle and workspace.
- Familiarity with Charleston County geography is a plus.
- Night and weekend shifts are required during active mosquito season.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift 55 lbs.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid South Carolina driver's license with a safe driving record
- Ability to obtain a Category 8 pesticide applicator's license within 6 months of hire
- Willingness to report during hazardous weather or emergency conditions
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
