    Job Summary: Troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs and adjustments of grippers, including preventative maintenance.

    Major Accountabilities:

    • PM all grippers and shovels
    • Check all bolts and make sure they are properly torqued
    • Check proximity sensor on gripper to make sure it is working correctly. Replace bad proximity sensor.
    • Rebuild gripper as needed.
    • Check air lines for leaks (keep airlines zip tied to link).
    • Pressure wash grippers.
    • Keep air lines in working order; spray lubrication as needed.
    • Log work in data log book. Communicate with maintenance and die setters with issues and concerns.
    • Maintain spare parts inventory.
    • Make continuous improvement on automation applications.
    • Other duties as identified.
    • Make gripper adjustments in the press as needed
    • The employee must maintain an excellent attendance record, which is defined as being at work all the time and on time.
    • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
    • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations using algebra and trigonometry.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in different situations.
    • Willingness to learn new skills needed for this job.

    Qualification:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Past knowledge of press automation, controls and equipment a plus.
    • Must take the mechanical aptitude test.
    • Past knowledge of robots a plus.
    • Must provide own tools.
    • Knowledge of IATF 1649; ISO 14001:2015
    • Knowledge of any applicable customer specific requirements

    Work Environment:

    • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management.

    • Multiple demands in a challenging and fast paced- team orientated environment
    • Noisy environment
    • Overtime as required.
    • Office, Plant floor
    • Travel as required

    Health & Safety:
