Spice Milling Operator - 3rd Shift

Job Description – Milling Operator 3rd Shift (11pm-7am) 

Department:  Production   

Reports to:   Production Supervisor/Manager

Essential Duties:

• Has the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform all the duties of milling without direct assistance and minimal Supervision.
• Skill and abilities required to operate all mills including mill changeovers, set ups, adjustments to prevent backups and to improve product flow.
• Has the knowledge, skill and abilities to accurately set up combination deck arrangements in a reasonable amount of time.
• Works with Quality Control for sampling of lots and as needed.
• Learning and development of knowledge in record keeping.
• Requires unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs continuously.
• Follows Safety & Sanitation rules
• Keeps area and department clean.
• Other duties as assigned by Newly Weds Foods.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities to safely operate a fork lift.  

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Education (GED).
• 12-18 months on similar job or similar milling experience.
• Ability to pass Pre-employment, Comprehension and Math testing.
• Ability to pass Drug Screen testing.

Job Requirements:

• Job requires constant standing, lifting and moving product throughout the entire day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., on a regular repetitive basis throughout the entire shift.
• Job requires physical stamina to work 8 hours daily with overtime required as needed.
• Hand – eye coordination, ability to operate basic equipment and physical stamina to lift and carry the product.
