Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a motivated Local Travel Speech Therapist (SLP) for an exciting 13-week contract with one of our trusted healthcare partners in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
  • Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing function
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards
  • Promote patient safety while delivering compassionate, high-quality care

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of North Dakota or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred or required based on facility requirements
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
  • Previous clinical experience in an acute care, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or home health setting preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred
  • Experience evaluating and treating adult and/or pediatric patient populations
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Excellent clinical judgment, documentation, and time management skills
  • Passion for helping patients improve communication and quality of life
