MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital, which provides a vital lifesaving link to rural communities in Clayton County and surrounding areas through ambulance and emergency services. The emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with board certified physicians and advanced level practitioners who are well-trained to treat emergency needs. MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is certified as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Speech Therapist!

As a Speech Therapist at MercyOne, you will:

  • Plan, administer, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for all appropriate programs and services within the PM & R Department, for all patient age groups
  • Possess the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with department protocol

Schedule:

  • Per Diem
  • Varied schedule

General Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from accredited program.
  • Certification by American Speech and Hearing Association or be eligible to be certified.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency once fully licensed
  • Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as a Speech Therapist. Employee may be within their Clinical Fellowship year if able to meet ASHA requirements for completion.
