Founded in 2005, Capitol Academy and Capitol Elementary are Non-Public Schools (NPS) serving students with a range of learning, behavioral, developmental, and communication needs. What You'll Do
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll provide comprehensive speech and language services while partnering with the student's broader educational and support team.
You'll:
- Provide speech-language therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations to identify individual communication needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable IEP goals that support educational and functional success.
- Provide therapy targeting areas such as articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social communication, and other identified needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on individual needs and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required compliance records.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and other service providers.
- Partner with classroom staff to carry communication strategies into the student's daily learning environment.
- Create a positive, engaging therapy environment that builds student confidence and encourages progress.
- Advocate for students and contribute your clinical perspective as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Strong clinical, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- A student-centered approach and genuine desire to help students reach their potential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
