- Location: Steger, IL
- Duration: ASAP to June 12, 2027
- Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
- Position Type: Contract
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Student Age Group: Middle school
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments using standardized tests and other appropriate evaluation tools.
- Identify students' speech, language, and communication needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and speech-language goals.
- Provide individual and small-group speech and language therapy based on students' specific needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies and intervention plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, special education staff, and other related-service professionals.
- Provide consultation and recommendations to teachers and families regarding strategies to support students' communication skills.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and other student-support meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, treatment records, progress reports, and recommendations.
- Ensure services are provided in accordance with applicable Illinois special education requirements and district policies.
Qualifications:- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current and appropriate Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist licensure/credentials.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based assessment and intervention practices.
- Understanding of special education procedures, IEP development, and compliance requirements.
- Experience providing speech and language services in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
