Position Summary
United Schools of Indianapolis is seeking a passionate and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality speech and language services to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. The SLP will work collaboratively with teachers, families, special education staff, and school leadership to support students communication skills and ensure access to academic success.

Essential Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students referred for services.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with students IEP goals.
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-8.
Participate as an active member of multidisciplinary evaluation and IEP teams.
Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing
Collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and other related service providers.
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education regulations.
Support the implementation of evidence-based interventions and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings as required.
Qualifications
Required
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current Indiana Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility for licensure).
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply if supervision is available.
Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education procedures.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented school environment.
Preferred
Previous experience in a school setting.
Experience serving culturally and linguistically diverse student populations.
Familiarity with Medicaid billing and Indiana special education compliance requirements.
