    Position Overview:

    The Speech Language Pathologist is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. This role also supports the development of rehabilitation teams through clinical guidance and supervision of speech-language pathology assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students, as applicable.

    What You'll Do:

    Evaluate and treat patients with cognitive, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
    Develop and implement individualized evidence-based treatment plans.
    Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
    Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and strategies.
    Document assessments, treatment interventions, and patient progress in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
    Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to assistants, aides, and students as assigned.
    Maintain compliance with all local, state, federal, and professional practice regulations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

    EDUCATION:

    Master's: Graduate of an accredited speech pathology program

    TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:


    2 years recent relevant experience.


    CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
    SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist.

    BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
    Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.

    Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.

    Ability to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirement.

    Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.

    Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.

    Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.

    Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.

    Pay Range is $61.91 to $86.67 / hour

    The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
