    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will support licensed Speech Language Pathologists in providing therapeutic services to individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. This role is essential in helping clients achieve their communication goals and improve their quality of life.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist Speech Language Pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for clients.
    • Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, focusing on speech, language, and communication skills.
    • Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment for sessions.
    • Document client progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with other team members, including educators and healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
    • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay updated on best practices.
    • Provide support and guidance to clients and their families regarding speech and language development and strategies for home practice.
    • Assist in conducting screenings and assessments as directed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.

    Requirements

    • Associate's degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant program or a related field.
    • Current certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, where applicable.
    • Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting is preferred.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping individuals improve their communication abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Basic knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and therapeutic techniques.
    • Proficient in using technology and software for documentation and communication purposes.
    • Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
