    Our current Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is with MidState Medical Center.     Position Description

    Per diem, primarily weekends, minimum two per month, minimal holidays with potential for weekday coverage.

    The Speech Language Pathologist independently evaluates patient's level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals. Determines treatment strategies and delivers Speech Language Therapy services that identify, restore, and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patient's safety and independence.

    This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and application of speech therapy to maximize the patient''s functional independence.

    Qualifications

    • Acute care experience preferred. MBS experience a plus.
    • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college/university.
    • State of Connecticut License in Speech/Language Pathology.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence may be required depending on site.
