North Shore Center has employees who have been working for us for over 25 years. North Shore Center provides quality New York State Early Intervention.
North Shore Center for Speech is currently seeking fee-for-service contract Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Special Educators, Ongoing Service Coordinators, and Registered Dietitians for home and community based Early Intervention services in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Early Intervention (EI), birth-to-3-year-old program specialists assist in the screening, assessment, identification, and treatment of children presenting with developmental delays or disabilities; assist students in the development of cognitive, communication, oral feeding, social and emotional, adaptive, fine and gross motor skills within the home, preschool, and other community settings.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat children ages birth to 3 years
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the child's needs and family's goals
- Monitor and document child’s progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to support patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and records
- Provide education and guidance to families regarding their child's development
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education opportunities
- Educate caregivers using a family centered approach.
Requirements:- Current New York State licensure
- Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are welcome (Clinical Fellowship full-time only)
- Strong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records
