Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP)

Assesses and treats patients from infants through geriatrics with a variety of speech, language, and/or oral pharyngeal sensory - motor in-competencies according to standards of practice of the profession, regulatory agencies, and institutions.  Assists in managing the daily operation of speech - language pathology services.  Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure the maximum level of care to patients.

• Evaluates, develops, and implements individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans for patients of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Documents evaluations, treatment progress, billing, coding, authorizations, and reimbursement requirements accurately and timely.
• Educates and counsels patients and families on treatment plans, home programs, and recommendations.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Supports program development, quality improvement, daily operations, scheduling, equipment, and departmental productivity.
• Supervises, mentors, and trains students and new employees while maintaining required competencies.
• Adheres to infection control, safety, confidentiality, organizational policies, regulatory standards, and professional code of conduct.
