Description

  • The SLP will provide evaluation, therapy, and consultative services to students with speech, language, communication, and related needs.
  • This position involves working collaboratively with teachers, families, special education staff, and other related service providers to help students meet their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and improve their communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations using appropriate standardized and informal assessment tools.
  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor speech and language goals within student IEPs.
  • Address areas including articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, pragmatics, and functional communication.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate therapy and progress documentation.
    Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
    Recommend and support appropriate communication strategies, accommodations, and AAC when applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable special education requirements and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Valid Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for appropriate Massachusetts licensure.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with pediatric or K–12 populations preferred.
    Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills.
