    Description

    Job Summary

    Identify, evaluate and remediate communicative disorders of speech, language, and hearing. Screens for swallowing disorders. Provides services to children and adults.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide remedial services for communicative disorders through individual or group sessions.
    • Identify and remediate communicative disorders through individual or group sessions.
    • Provide information and counseling to parents, physicians, and related personnel pertaining to communicative disorders.
    • Prepare reports concerning diagnostic findings, therapy used, and progress made.
    • Provide referrals to other agencies when necessary.
    • May also provide speech services to other divisions and facilities.
    • Assist with hearing evaluations as necessary.

Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

    • Master's Degree (Required) Education: Degree can be in Speech/Language Pathology

    • Speech Pathologist, License (Required)
