Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supports elementary students with communication disorders by providing assessment, specialized instruction and consultation services. The SLP works collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to help students develop the communication skills needed for academic and social success.

Assignment (Muraco Elementary School .6/Ambrose Elementary School .4)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate with the Special Education Team to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs
  • Provide direct and indirect therapy services in individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student progress; adjust interventions as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure and certification
  • Experience working with high school-aged and post-graduate students
  • Strong oral and written communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Compensation Range: $63,787-$136,191
