Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Great Hearts Archway Lincoln (2250 S. Gilbert Rd. Chandler, AZ 85286)
FLSA Status: Salaried-Exempt
Compensation Type: Salary $39,500-$47,750
Position Summary: The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services to students in a charter school setting. SLPA's will be assigned to two schools co-located on one campus. One of the schools is elementary and the other is secondary. The professional roles and activities in a school setting include clinical/educational services, direct treatment, screenings, consultation, collaboration, data collection and documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include adhering to safety practices and experience working with school-aged children. Knowledge is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals; write
documents following prescribed formats; and/or present information to others; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes knowledge of pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws Ability is required to schedule activities; collate data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing specific, defined processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with specific job-related data; and utilize specific, job-related equipment. In working with others, independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires following prescribed guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include communicating with diverse groups; adhering to safety practices; and meeting deadlines and schedules.
Required/Preferred Education: Associates Degree required, and preferred Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Required/Preferred Experience: Preferred 1+ years of experience in school setting.
Required Skills:
Physical Functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
US work authorization is , but we do accept OPT/CPT candidates.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
