    Job Title: Part-Time Special Education (SPED) Teacher (Contract)
    Location: Richardson, TX (On-site)
    Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour
    Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM (16–20 hours per week)
    Start Date: August 2026

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team in Richardson, TX. This is a contract position offering a highly manageable classroom environment with a small student-to-staff ratio. You will lead a classroom of five (5) students, supported by one (1) full-time instructional aide.
    This position is ideal for a retired educator looking to stay active in the classroom without the burden of full-time hours, or a passionate newcomer seeking valuable, focused classroom experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Instructional Delivery: Plan and deliver functional, customized lessons tailored to the unique learning styles and brilliance of 5 students. 
    • Classroom Management: Lead the classroom environment effectively, collaborating closely with your dedicated classroom aide to support student needs. 
    • Progress Tracking: Monitor and document student progress, adapting instructional materials as required. 
    • Collaboration: Maintain professional communication with the administrative team regarding student updates.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Certification: Must hold a valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certificate.
    • Experience Level: Open to both retired teachers and recent graduates/newbies eager to grow.
    • Mindset: Patient, adaptive, energetic, and collaborative.
    • Reliability: Ability to commit to the morning schedule (Monday–Thursday) starting immediately.
